Mike Rowe talks about our high unemployment and simultaneous labor shortage. Thanks to @littleidea for initially tweeting this.
I’ve unfriended 200+ people on Facebook, recently. Here were some of my criteria as I clawed back together some semblance of meaning:
- people whose faces I did not recognize. There were as many as 5 of these, WTF!
- people who (when I see them in real life) do not acknowledge that we know each other.
- people I went to high school with that I haven’t seen in 10 years.
- people who played PMOG and who I didn’t connect with personally. There were several people that I admire and connected with personally who I met because of PMOG and will probably never meet in real life. Totally keeping them.
- and finally, a few people who I have not seen or heard from since divorcing some guy I used to know. There will be more of these as I get over people I thought were my friends for 5+ years literally forgetting that I exist.
I figure, if you just want to know my random thoughts or have a way to get my attention, follow me on Twitter. If we actually like each other in real life, let’s be friends on Facebook.
(And yes, I know that virtually no one in Silicon Valley uses Facebook for real friendship.)
